School clubs and associations are a great way to develop the life skills like leaderships, communication and being able to work successfully in groups. The clubs and Associations functioning actively in the school are; Literary and Debating club, Nature club, Malayalam, Association, English Association, Maths club, science club IT club.

Sacred Heart school follows the project ‘go green’ to nurture the feeling of protecting our environment. The school also inteends to promote learning by improving the attention, self discipline, physical activity and fitness by being close to nature.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Scientific attitude is the most important result of science teaching and it develops national thinking. There are different ways to cultivate scientific attitude among children : wide reading, practical, Co-curricular activities, the classroom atmosphere, personal influence of teacher etc.
Sacred Heart School provides the right exposure and training to the students from the very young stage itself, just as young plants are watered and cared for. The school gives ample opportunities to perform science experiments. Sacred Heart Campus is really a conductive environment for the students to develop themselves.
Indo German Cultural Exchange Programme
Cultural exchange programmes help us to take the first step towards unity and appreciate cultural diversity. Sacred Heart School offers experience beyond cultural borders as sharing culture allows us to become open and tolerant to new things.
Each academic year, selected students are sent to Germany that enables them to be empathetic towards people from other culture and tradition. It helps them to be more flexible and adaptable to foreign situations. It improves their language skills, confidence and develops a global perspective on various world matters. This experience enhances their career graph too.
Social Service League
Man belongs to society; students form an important part of it. The students of today tag the foundation stone of future society. They can play an important role in improving and strengthening society.
The commitment of Sacred Heart family to the society is evident in the charity, support and comfort extended by the staff and students to the poor and the deprived. Social Service League of this school tries to inculcate in the minds of our young ones, our responsibility towards the neglected poor and love for serving them in their need.

Quality Education is very important in today’s world. Smart class is a technological boon for the educational system to keep abreast of the changing trends in the teaching learning process.
Sacred Heart school provides technology assisted teaching learning process. School has already adapted to new technology by installing panel boards in our class rooms.
Scouts and Guides
Encourages the physical, social, emotional and spiritual development of young Heartians. Thus the Heartians can secure a constructive place in society as responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national and international communities.
Guidance and Counselling
We have in our school, a full time counselor and guide to render focus on the needs of the child. They ensure to give wings to the dreams of children through vocational and career-oriented guidance. They are always ready to lend an ear to individual problems, both academic and personal, of the child.
Orientation Programmes
Orientation programmes are conducted on regular basis, for both teachers and students. The sessions help them to move forward on a positive path of development.
KCSL
Kerala Catholic Students League of the school gives opportunities to all Catholic students to instill faith in God and moral consciousness among students. Certain orientation camps and other group-building programmes are organized to develop their personality and leadership traits.
SH - The Torch of Wisdom
Our school focuses not only on the academic advancement but also on the spiritual upliftment of Heartians. Everyday we set apart some time for prayer. The school also pays special attention to organize activities for the spiritual development of students.
PTA
The PTA of the school plays a pivotal role in all its activities. Regular meeting are arranged to give a comprehensive report on their ward’s progress, both academic and social.
House System
Pupils are grouped into different houses and they participate in all the activities and competitions representing the house concerned. This instills in them a healthy competitive spirit and team spirit.
Band Troupe
The school band troupe comprising of 20 talented students. They make our celebrations colourful.

The school conducts various competitions and scholarship examinations for the students to prove their potential and excellence. Among them special mention may be made of the DCL IQ Test, PCM scholarship, Sathyadeepam and Asian Scholarships, Kairali Vignan Pareeksha, Sugama Hindi Exam by Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha, JCI National Scholarships and Camelin colouring competition. The prestigious “SH Excellentia Award instituted by the Auxiliary Bishop of Changanacherry Mar Thomas Tharayil, this prestigious award is conferred on the best outgoing student of the academic year. The award includes a cash prize worth Rs. 10000/-
The Best Essechian Award
The Best Essechian Award amounting to Rs. 30,000/-is given every year out of the seed sum of 3 lakh rupees donated by the 1983 SSLC alumini batch as Rev Fr O J Varghese endowment fund.
